Josmeyer - Riesling Les Pierrets 2015
91/100
Robert Parker
This 2015 Riesling comes from two different plots, one in the valley on old vines and the other on Rotenberg, on the north-facing slope opposite Hengst. The wine opens with a ripe and intense bouquet of , while retaining its brightness, elegance, and minerality thanks to citrus aromas and a hint of flint. Full, rich and spicy, the palate is dense, fairly concentrated and structured. Very expressive, this Riesling remains elegant and mineral. A tannic sensation gives it structure and a long, compact finish. The fruit is lush but well organized. Already ready to drink, it can still age for at least 10 years. (Wine Advocate 2017) Great terroirs and old vines!

Bettane & Desseauve
Rated estate (2022 guide) 4 stars (Producers of very high quality, the pride of French vineyards)
About the estate:
Céline and Isabelle Meyer run the estate, long managed by their father Jean, with courage and discipline. Biodynamics shines through in their wines, which are light and refined, fresh and chiseled. The estate's two iconic grands crus are Hengst and Brand, where Riesling shines particularly brightly. Pinot Gris is part of a long tradition of dry wines, which are unfortunately not so common in Alsace.
