“This 2015 Riesling comes from two different plots: one in the valley with old vines, and the other on Rotenberg, on the northern slope opposite Hengst. The wine opens with a ripe and intense bouquet, yet retains its vibrancy, elegance, and minerality thanks to citrus aromas and a flinty character. Full-bodied, rich, and spicy, the palate is dense, fairly concentrated, and well-structured. Highly expressive, this Riesling remains elegant and mineral. A hint of tannin lends it structure and a long, compact finish. The fruit here is lush yet well-organized. Already ready to drink, it can still age for at least 10 years.” (Wine Advocate 2017) Great terroirs and old vines!

About the estate:

Céline and Isabelle Meyer manage the estate—long led by their father Jean—with courage and discipline. The biodynamic approach shines through in their wines, which are light and refined on the palate, fresh and well-defined. The estate’s two flagship grands crus are the Hengst and the Brand, where the Riesling truly shines. The Pinot Gris is part of a long tradition of dry wines—a style that, unfortunately, is not all that common in Alsace.
