"Very spicy, powerful floral aromas, a dry wine balanced by its beautiful salinity on the palate, a style that is all too rare in Alsace." (Le Guide des Vins Bettane & Desseauve). Les Folastries takes its name from a collection of poems by Pierre de Ronsard, and is a seductive and poetic Gewurztraminer!

Rated estate (2022 guide) 4 stars (Producers of very high quality, the pride of French vineyards)

About wine:

Very spicy, powerful floral aromas, a dry wine balanced by its beautiful salinity on the palate, a style that is all too rare in Alsace.

About the estate:

Céline and Isabelle Meyer run the estate, long managed by their father Jean, with courage and discipline. Biodynamics shines through in their wines, which are light and refined, fresh and chiseled. The estate's two iconic grands crus are Hengst and Brand, where Riesling shines particularly brightly. Pinot Gris is part of a long tradition of dry wines, which are unfortunately not so common in Alsace.

Finally, a truly dry Gewurz (spices), wonderfully long, superbly aromatic with a spicy body that fills your mouth and transports you elsewhere!
