(Notes from the 2017 vintage)

A lovely white wine made from red-skinned Sylvaner grapes, named for their colorful skin, which produces more flavorful and spicy berries. The delicate nose opens with notes of white flowers. The palate is lively, with beautiful texture and fruit and citrus notes. The finish is pure and salty. This is a Sylvaner imbued with elegance!

Wine rating (2019 guide) 14/20 (2017 vintage) (Good wine)

Rated estate (2022 guide) 4 stars (Producers of very high quality, the pride of French vineyards)

About the estate:

Céline and Isabelle Meyer run the estate, long managed by their father Jean, with courage and discipline. Biodynamics shines through in their wines, which are light and refined, fresh and chiseled. The estate's two iconic grands crus are Hengst and Brand, where Riesling shines particularly brightly. Pinot Gris is part of a long tradition of dry wines, which are unfortunately not so common in Alsace.
