"The Morgon Les Versauds 2013 has a bouquet of black cherry tinged with iodine scents that deserves a little more bottle time to fully blossom. The palate is soft and ripe on the attack, with notes of black cherry and blackcurrant mingled with cedar, leading to a structured finish. Give it another 2 to 3 years of bottle aging, drinkable until 2022." (Wine Advocate - Robert Parker)

Guide Hachette des vins
Rated estate (2020 guide) Award-winning wines (This producer's wines are regularly recognized by the guide)
About the estate:
Winegrowers in Juliénas since the early 17th century, the Perrachons purchased Ch. de la Bottière in 1877, followed by Dom. des Perelles in Romanèche-Thorins (windmill). When he took over in 1989, Laurent Perrachon acquired Domaine des Mouilles, then plots in Morgon, Fleurie, and Saint-Amour: a total of 31 hectares, with vines in six crus. With Maxime and Adrien, the new generation joined the estate in 2016.

It's not enough to have a prestigious appellation; above all, you have to know how to make wine.
