“The 2013 Morgon Les Versauds has a bouquet of black cherry tinged with briny notes that deserves a little more time in the bottle to fully develop. The palate is soft and ripe on the attack, with notes of black cherry and blackcurrant mingled with cedar, leading to a structured finish. Give it another 2 to 3 years in the bottle; drink through 2022.” (Wine Advocate - Robert Parker)

About the estate:
Winegrowers in Juliénas since the early 17th century, the Perrachons purchased Château de la Bottière in 1877, followed by Domaine des Perelles in Romanèche-Thorins (a windmill). Upon settling there in 1989, Laurent Perrachon acquired Domaine des Mouilles, followed by plots in Morgon, Fleurie, and Saint-Amour: a total of 31 hectares, with vineyards across six crus. With Maxime and Adrien, the new generation joined the estate in 2016.

It's not enough to have a prestigious appellation; above all, you have to know how to make wine.
