Cordier Father and Son Estate
Domaine Cordier is a family estate located in Burgundy, in the village of Fuissé, in the heart of the most beautiful terroirs of the Mâconnais region. The estate is run by Christophe Cordier, a passionate winemaker who loves to showcase the terroirs and reveal their potential. The estate produces great white wines from the Chardonnay grape variety, often compared to the best Grands Crus.

Like all great wine houses, Domaine Cordier devotes all the attention and expertise required to the production of its wines. The very personal style of pruning, green harvesting practices (thinning and debudding), the choice of compost rather than fertilizers, and manual harvesting, plot by plot, illustrate the high standards practiced on the estate. In winemaking, similarly, the exclusive use of original lees and indigenous yeasts shows how much Christophe Cordier wants to preserve the substance and identity of his wines. Precision work adapted to each plot, each grape, each wine

Domaine Cordier works around a hundred plots, scattered across the hillsides of the Mâconnais. A mosaic of vines, a mosaic of terroirs, a real treasure for Christophe Cordier, who takes pleasure in working with this diversity. The young farmer enjoys working with different soils (primary, secondary, and tertiary) on small areas. It is as if each plot were a challenge. "A logistical challenge," he admits, but a real strategic choice for the estate, which aspires to create the greatest wines of the Mâconnais region. A mosaic of 100 plots spread across seven communes: Fuissé, Charnay-les-Mâcon, Loché, Leynes, Chasselas, Vergisson, and Davayé.

In 2003,Christophe Cordier created a small "haute couture" wine merchant business, offering high-quality white wines from Burgundy and Beaujolais. Christophe Cordier selects the best terroirs in order to offer his customers the diversity and richness of the vineyards of Burgundy and Beaujolais. The wines produced (Saint-Véran, Pouilly-Fuissé, Viré-Clessé, etc.) are vinified and aged under the supervision of Christophe Cordier at the Domaine Cordier cellar, exclusively with natural yeasts that mature in barrels on total lees. A labor of love.
