Château Olivier

Château Olivier produces a Grand Cru Classé from gravel soils in the Pessac-Léognan AOC, an appellation that has made spectacular strides over the past fifteen years. Steeped in history, Château Olivier is located 11 kilometers from Bordeaux, at the heart of a 220-hectare estate comprising meadows, century-old oak trees, pine groves, and, above all, a 55-hectare vineyard spread across two distinct gravel-covered hills.

Château Olivier has the rare distinction of possessing excellent terroirs for both red and white wines. The low fertility of the gravelly and clayey soils, combined with the early-ripening climate, allows Cabernet Sauvignon to reach optimal ripeness. The deep gravel terroirs over marl are ideally suited to Merlot production, combining concentration and freshness. Finally, the shallow soils on limestone slopes provide the ideal conditions for producing elegant white wines, emphasizing fruity aromas and liveliness.
