This Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru has a delicate, highly perfumed nose, with great richness and complexity. The breath, richness and distinction of this white show remarkable acidity, perfectly controlled by round opulence. A great Burgundy wine to pair with noble, delicate dishes...

Food and wine pairing
the natural candidates are foie gras, whose bitterness is framed by the wine's minerality and power, and, more traditionally, noble shellfish, whose delicately strong flesh creates a spectacular harmony: lobster, crayfish, crab... Poultry and veal in white sauce will also do it justice, as will blue cheeses...
Bettane & Desseauve
Domaine rated (guide 2023) 3*Stars (High-quality production that can serve as a benchmark in its sector)
About the domain :
Frédérick and Franck Buisson, whose family presence in the village dates back to the 12th century, represent the eighth generation of winemakers at this historic Saint-Romain estate. Ecocert-certified since 2012, they develop the most natural viticulture and oenology. The red wines, which still contain some whole bunches, offer a precise vision of their terroir that argues for the rediscovery of a Saint-Romain we haven't often seen at this level. The precise whites are not to be outdone.

Domaine rated (guide 2023) 1*Star (Stars in the making or quality winemakers with a good level of production, you won't be disappointed when you taste the wines from these estates)
About the wine:
The Corton-Charlemagne is a little reduced and toasted-roasted.
About the domain :
Frédéric, winemaker, and Franck, salesman, manage one of the largest estates in the southern Côte de Beaune. Certified organic since 2009, they will be switching to biodynamic viticulture in 2018. For ten years, they had already been following the lunar calendar for their bottling. Serious work in the vineyard and cellar enables them to produce deep, racy wines that age well. This is an estate that perfectly enhances the Saint-Romain appellation in both red and white, with fine, precise and elegant wines. A range of wines that richly deserves its first star.
