Maison H. et G. Buisson - Santenay 1er Cru La Comme 2020
91/100
Robert Parker
"Structured and refined"
"Offering aromas of cherries, sweet red berries, and plums mingled with notes of licorice and spices, the 2020 Santenay Premier Cru Clos de la Comme is medium-bodied to full-bodied, with tart notes, powdery tannins, and a penetrating finish. It is more structured than its communal counterpart, although it remains quite refined." (Wine Advocate 2022)

Rated estate (2023 guide) 3 stars (High-quality production, serving as a benchmark in its sector)
About the estate:
Frédérick and Franck Buisson, whose family has been present in the village since the 12th century, represent the eighth generation of winegrowers on this historic estate in Saint-Romain. Certified by Ecocert since 2012, they practice viticulture and oenology in the most natural way possible. The red wines, which always contain a few whole grapes, offer a precise reflection of their terroir, encouraging us to rediscover a Saint-Romain that we have not often seen at this level. The precise white wines are not to be outdone.

Rated estate (2023 guide) 1*Star (Up-and-coming stars or quality winemakers producing good-quality wines; you won't be disappointed when tasting the wines from these estates)
About the estate:
Frédéric, winemaker, and Franck, sales representative, manage one of the largest estates in the southern Côte de Beaune. Certified organic since 2009, they took the leap to biodynamics in 2018. For ten years now, they have been following the lunar calendar for bottling. Serious work in the vineyard and in the cellar enables them to produce deep, racy wines that age well. This is an estate that perfectly showcases the Saint-Romain appellation in both red and white wines, which are refined, precise, and elegant. A range of wines that richly deserves its first star.
