Roger Belland - Meursault-Santenots 1er Cru 2009
Note: RVF 16/20
This lovely Meursault opens with aromas of white flowers and toasted almonds, releasing a very powerful bouquet. On the palate, it is full-bodied and generous, finely balanced by well-integrated acidity and subtle oak. An elegant and refined wine—don’t miss it!

About the estate:
An old estate, first mentioned in the 18th century, now covering 24 hectares. At the helm are Roger Belland, who took over in 1981; his daughter Julie, who joined in 2003 and is in charge of winemaking; and their new colleague, Martin Boyer. While the estate is not certified organic, it practices sustainable and carefully managed viticulture (full grass cover in the vineyard, no herbicides) and produces wines of great consistency.
