This premier cru, whose name “Commes” derives from “combe,” benefits from a beautiful hillside exposure. Renowned as one of the finest wines of Santenay, it is elegance personified. The ripe yet fresh nose offers aromas of red berries, earth, and lovely floral notes. Distinct minerality and a structured palate highlight the intense and vibrant nuances in this deep, long, and harmonious wine. A true declaration of love!

About the estate:

An historic estate, first mentioned in the 18th century, now covering 24 hectares. At the helm are Roger Belland, who took over in 1981; his daughter Julie, who joined in 2003 and oversees winemaking; and their new partner, Martin Boyer. No certified organic production here, but sustainable and carefully managed viticulture (full vineyard cover cropping, no herbicides), and wines of great consistency.
