This premier cru, whose name "Commes" comes from "combe," benefits from a beautiful sloping exposure. Renowned as one of the finest wines of Santenay, it is the embodiment of elegance. The ripe but fresh nose presents aromas of red berries, earth, and lovely floral nuances. An obvious minerality and a structured palate highlight the intense and vibrant nuances. About the estate:

An old estate, with records dating back to the 18th century, now covering 24 hectares. At its helm are Roger Belland, who took over in 1981, his daughter Julie, who joined in 2003 and is in charge of winemaking, and their new colleague Martin Boyer. No certified organic status here, but sustainable and controlled viticulture (total grass cover in the vineyard, no weedkillers), and wines of great consistency.
