About the estate:

Located on the hills above Épernay, the Janisson-Baradon estate is run by Richard Janisson and his two sons, Maxence and Cyril. The vineyard comprises 9 hectares of hillsides surrounding the Champagne capital, tended with care and attention. The Janissons have intelligently modernized the style of their wines, and once again this year, the single-vineyard selections stood out during the tasting, with champagnes of assertive character that retain the region’s characteristic suppleness. A sure bet.

The vineyard has been maintained through soil cultivation since 1997, without the use of any herbicides. Most of the vintages are a blend of equal parts Pinot Noir and Chardonnay.
