Janisson Baradon Champagne
Janisson Baradon et Fils is a Champagne house owned by the Janisson family, who have been winemakers for five generations. The Janisson Baradon Champagne House cultivates approximately 9 hectares of vineyards in Épernay, as well as plots in Chouilly and Brimont. For the past few years, the vineyard has been managed using “sustainable farming” practices. Each plot is covered with grass to protect the soil’s biological balance, thereby promoting healthy, eco-friendly methods. Located on the hills above Épernay, this beautiful house was founded by Georges Baradon (a riddler) and his son-in-law (a cooper) in 1922.

Now led by Richard Janisson, alongside his two sons, Maxence and Cyril, the Janisson Baradon Champagne House has always sought to highlight the character of its champagnes and the distinctiveness of their terroir, particularly by harvesting the grapes at peak ripeness. The wines are aged in tanks and small oak barrels, and mature for at least three years deep in the chalk cellars, in total darkness. The blending of the wines is a family tradition, with each cuvée expressing itself in the purest Janisson Baradon style, combining finesse and subtlety. A true winemaker’s Champagne waiting to be discovered!
