A Chardonnay of great precision!
Bettane & Desseauve 16/20, RVF 15/20This 100% Chardonnay is made from grapes selected from seven plots, all of which have the same type of limestone soil that gives it its striking minerality and lovely freshness. As with the rest of the estate, the vines are cultivated using biodynamic methods, and the talented Stéphane Tissot is committed to ensuring that each vintage expresses its terroir. This is achieved with this light, airy white wine, which has Burgundian characteristics—fruity and mineral, with floral and spicy notes—and a full-bodied palate with perfect balance. Designed for long-term aging (over 20 years).

Bettane & Desseauve
Rated estate (2020 guide): 4* Stars (Producers of the very highest quality, the pride of French viticulture)
About the estate:
Sparkling like his crémants, energetic like his whites, approachable like his reds, and generous like his yellow wines, Stéphane Tissot is undoubtedly the driving force behind the Jura wine region. Taking the reins of the family estate in 1993 alongside his wife Bénédicte, he has successfully revealed the full richness of the Jura terroirs through exceptional single-vineyard wines. The variety of the range is matched only by the quality and purity of the wines, as well as the winemaker’s masterful craftsmanship and tireless experimentation. High-density staked vines, mass selection, amphora aging, extended maceration, and sulfur-free wines are all strings to Stéphane Tissot’s bow. Some fifty hectares of vineyards, cultivated biodynamically, form one of the region’s most exciting estates.
RVF - La Revue du Vin de France / Guide des Meilleurs Vins de France
Rated estate (2020 guide): 3 stars (These represent the pinnacle of French winemaking. The finest terroirs cultivated by the greatest winemakers. Tasting their wine is always a magical experience)
About the estate:
What an incredible journey Stéphane Tissot has been on since 1990! The vineyard’s transition to organic farming began in 1999, and today it is cultivated biodynamically. Regardless of the type of wine, everything is managed with talent and sensitivity, and the flavors are of perfect integrity. The Macvin wines are the finest in the region. The rustic character often imparted by the pomace is here wonderfully integrated! The reds and oxidative wines have acquired an unforgettable finesse and freedom of expression. The meticulousness of the work and the kaleidoscopic depth of the range unquestionably place the estate at the pinnacle of regional production.
