Taking over the family estate in 1993 alongside his wife, Bénédicte, he has succeeded in revealing the full richness of the Jura’s terroirs through exceptional single-vineyard wines. The variety of his portfolio is matched only by the quality and purity of the wines, as well as the winemaker’s meticulous craftsmanship and tireless experimentation. High-density stake-trained vines, mass selection, aging in amphorae, extended macerations, and sulfur-free wines are just some of the strings Stéphane Tissot has added to his bow. Some fifty hectares of vineyards, cultivated biodynamically, make up one of the region’s most exciting estates.

Regardless of the type of wine, everything is managed with talent and sensitivity, and the flavors are of perfect integrity. The Macvin wines are the finest in the region. The rustic character often imparted by grape pomace is wonderfully integrated here! The reds and oxidative wines have acquired an unforgettable finesse and freedom of expression.
