About the estate:
Roger-François Béguinot, who made his fortune in the baby food industry, and his wife fell in love with Château Soucherie in 2007. This 28-hectare estate is beautifully situated on a south-facing schist hillside between Beaulieu and Rochefort, within the Anjou, Savennières, Coteaux du Layon, and Chaume appellations.

Since I’m very familiar with this wine, I was disappointed to find it had a cork taint, even though it’s still drinkable—especially since it’s a 2009 vintage! What a shame, because I know it’s usually excellent!
