“The Mev. Kirsten 2024 comes from the oldest Chenin in the Cape, originally planted in 1905, with every other row uprooted in 1946. Fun fact: this was the first vineyard in South Africa to be plowed with a tractor. It offers a fragrant bouquet with notes of sea spray, light lanolin, and crushed chalk. The palate is beautifully structured with a marvelous texture, perfectly balanced, laser-sharp, with a deft touch of lemongrass on the lingering finish. Brilliant. 2027–2049” (Vinous 2025)

On the nose, this full-bodied white wine reveals pronounced aromas of spiced pear, mango pit, honey, papaya, and honeysuckle. Creamy, rich, and delicious, it offers incredible generosity and body, balanced by fresh acidity. Excellent balance. Hard to resist. Chenin Blanc from a vineyard planted in 1905. Ready to drink or for aging.
