“A nose of bread crust, very elegant and rather rare for this grape variety; a very dry style; the palate is rich and fresh, easy to drink with a subtle saline undertone; the crystalline finish offers a purity that pairs beautifully with food; this wine glides across the palate, and the balance is superb for an entry-level wine.” (The Bettane & Desseauve Wine Guide)

About the wine:
Aroma of bread crust, very elegant and rather rare for this grape variety; a very dry style; the palate is rich and fresh, easy to drink with a subtle saline undertone; the crystalline finish offers a purity that pairs beautifully with food; this wine glides across the palate, and the balance is superb for an entry-level wine.
About the estate:
Céline and Isabelle Meyer manage the estate—long led by their father Jean—with courage and discipline. The biodynamic approach shines through in their wines, which are light and refined on the palate, fresh and well-defined. The estate’s two flagship grands crus are the Hengst and the Brand, where the Riesling truly shines. The Pinot Gris is part of a long tradition of dry wines—a style that, unfortunately, is not all that common in Alsace.
Robert Parker - Wine Advocate
Wine rated (2017 guide) 89/100 (Very good wine)
About the wine:
The 2015 Fromenteau Pinot Gris opens with a ripe, spicy bouquet, with subtle notes of lactone and caramel, and very ripe apples. On the palate, it is a very dry, spicy, and fresh Pinot with a lovely creamy texture and a beautifully lingering finish. The 2015 was bottled with 13.5% alcohol and 2g of residual sugar. It is an excellent wine that will pair well with a wide variety of dishes.

Wine rated (2017 guide) 91/100
About the wine:
The nose reveals aromas of fresh Russet pear peel, with pleasant notes of bitterness and juicy fruit. The palate is refined and dry, further highlighting the purity of the fruit. Although powerful and concentrated, the finish resonates with delicate notes of pear and a lemony freshness.
