Bettane & Desseauve

"Perfectly evolved, the nose is reminiscent of pepper and flint. On the palate, this is a dry wine with breadth, power, and incredible strength, underscored by citrus peel. A wine of great pedigree. It can be decanted to help this superb wine open up. (Le Guide des Meilleurs Vins de France - RVF) A virtuoso at the peak of his art!

Sashimi will pair perfectly with this wine, while aged cheeses such as Comté, Gouda, or Parmesan will be enhanced by this wine, which reveals its complexity through a salty flavor profile.

Rated estate (2022 guide) 4 stars (Producers of very high quality, the pride of French vineyards)

About the estate:

Céline and Isabelle Meyer run the estate, long managed by their father Jean, with courage and discipline. Biodynamics shines through in their wines, which are light and refined, fresh and chiseled. The estate's two iconic grands crus are Hengst and Brand, where Riesling shines particularly brightly. Pinot Gris is part of a long tradition of dry wines, which are unfortunately not so common in Alsace.
