James Suckling
“[...] Remarkable freshness for an exceptionally hot vintage. Plenty of Amalfi lemon fruit and a slightly salty, mineral freshness for those with patience. A long, earthy, and herbaceous finish. Ready to drink now, but best enjoyed starting in 2025.” (James Suckling). This Grand Cru Riesling surprises, excites, and delights the senses with its mineral structure and delicate notes of yellow fruit.

Food and Wine Pairings
Beyond its natural pairing with Alsatian cuisine, it gracefully brings out the briny flavors of seafood and complements the taste of salt: shellfish, saltwater and freshwater fish, sushi, sashimi, as well as white meats prepared with cream and mushrooms, goat or sheep cheeses, and soft cheeses (Comté, aged Gouda, Parmesan)...
Bettane & Desseauve
Rated estate (2022 guide): 4*Stars (Producers of the very highest quality, the pride of French viticulture)
About the estate:
Céline and Isabelle Meyer manage the estate—long led by their father Jean—with courage and discipline. The biodynamic approach shines through in their wines, which are light and refined on the palate, fresh and well-defined. The estate’s two flagship grands crus are the Hengst and the Brand, where the Riesling truly shines. The Pinot Gris is part of a long tradition of dry wines—a style that, unfortunately, is not all that common in Alsace.
