"[...] Remarkable freshness for an exceptionally hot vintage. Plenty of Amalfi lemon fruit and a slightly salty, mineral freshness for those with patience. A long, earthy, and herbaceous finish. Drink now, but best enjoyed from 2025 onward." (James Suckling). This Grand Cru Riesling surprises, excites, and delights the senses with its mineral structure and delicate notes of yellow fruit.

Food and wine pairings
Beyond its natural pairing with Alsatian cuisine, it gracefully enhances the briny flavors of seafood and pairs beautifully with salty dishes: shellfish, saltwater and freshwater fish, sushi, sashimi, as well as white meats served with cream and mushrooms, goat or sheep cheese, soft-ripened cheese (Comté, aged Gouda, Parmesan)...
Bettane & Desseauve
Rated estate (2022 guide): 4 stars (Producers of the very highest quality, the pride of French viticulture)
About the estate:
Céline and Isabelle Meyer manage the estate—long led by their father Jean—with courage and discipline. Their biodynamic wines shine with their light, refined, fresh, and crisp profiles. The estate’s two flagship grands crus are the Hengst and the Brand, where the Riesling truly shines. Pinot Gris is part of a long tradition of dry wine, which is, unfortunately, not so common in Alsace.
