“White-gold color; initial nose of smoke and flint; dry, dense on the palate with richness and a subtle minerality. This age-worthy wine, which is still closed, shows great power. ” (The Bettane & Desseauve Guide to French Wines 2012)

Rated estate (2022 guide): 4*Stars (Producers of the very highest quality, the pride of French viticulture)

About the estate:

Céline and Isabelle Meyer manage the estate—long led by their father Jean—with courage and discipline. The biodynamic approach shines through in their wines, which are light and refined on the palate, fresh and well-defined. The estate’s two flagship grands crus are the Hengst and the Brand, where the Riesling truly shines. The Pinot Gris is part of a long tradition of dry wines—a style that, unfortunately, is not all that common in Alsace.
