Wine rated 16/20 (Very good wine)

Rated estate (2022 guide): 4*Stars (Producers of the very highest quality, the pride of French viticulture)

About the wine:

The nose is complex, with notes of citrus peel, caramel, and apricot. Well-balanced on the palate, both smooth and refined. A superb late-harvest wine.

About the estate:

Céline and Isabelle Meyer manage the estate—long led by their father Jean—with courage and discipline. The biodynamic approach shines through in their wines, which are light and refined on the palate, fresh and well-defined. The estate’s two flagship grands crus are the Hengst and the Brand, where the Riesling truly shines. The Pinot Gris is part of a long tradition of dry wines—a style that, unfortunately, is not all that common in Alsace.

Guide Hachette des vins

Wine rated (2010 guide) Mentioned (Successful wine)

About the wine:

This late-harvest wine? Liquid gold in the glass. A wide range of aromas: from beeswax and resin to flowers and spices. On the palate, the same complexity: exotic fruits, candied grapes, honey, and spices. Full-bodied and long-finishing. This 2006 will be perfect at the end of the year paired with those spicy little Alsatian Christmas cookies or a ginger cake.
