Jean Paul Brun - Terres Dorées

Domaine des Terres Dorées is led by Jean-Paul Brun, who ranks among the region’s very best winemakers, managing to capture the qualities of the Beaujolais terroirs in his wines with remarkable authenticity.

A conscientious and passionate winemaker, Jean-Paul Brun tends to the Gamay and Chardonnay grape varieties with the utmost care, always striving to ensure that the terroir expresses its many facets. The vines are tended from the first bud until harvest, with minimal intervention. Harvesting takes place only when the grapes are fully ripe. In the cellar, the grapes ferment with yeasts native to the terroir to produce an authentic wine. Domaine des Terres Dorées has also begun vinifying three small plots of Pinot Noir using Burgundian methods, with very promising results.

Domaine des Terres Dorées has set itself a new mission to meet the demand from wine lovers seeking "authentic Beaujolais," in partnership with several other winemakers. High-quality Chardonnay plots have been selected in the surrounding communes and are vinified at the estate. The estate is now also exploring the vinification of other Beaujolais crus, particularly following the discovery of exceptional terroirs and outstanding winemakers in Moulin-à-Vent and Côte de Brouilly.
