Notes: RVF "Grande Réussite, " Guide Hachette 2** (Remarkable Wine), Silver Medal at Mâcon 2010
"It makes an immediate impression with its floral bouquet of peony and violet, accented with blackberry. An elegant structure supports a refined palate featuring black fruits. Ideal for pairing, starting in the fall, with a platter of Lyon-style charcuterie.” (Le Guide Hachette des Vins 2011)

About the estate:
Winegrowers in Juliénas since the early 17th century, the Perrachons purchased Château de la Bottière in 1877, followed by Domaine des Perelles in Romanèche-Thorins (a windmill). Upon settling there in 1989, Laurent Perrachon acquired Domaine des Mouilles, followed by plots in Morgon, Fleurie, and Saint-Amour: a total of 31 hectares, with vineyards across six crus. With Maxime and Adrien, the new generation joined the estate in 2016.

Beaujolais is a wine that gets an unfairly bad rap. Personally, I enjoy it every now and then. It’s unremarkable, but goes well with just about anything.
