Roger Belland - Meursault-Santenots 1er Cru 2009

Note: RVF 16/20
This lovely Meursault opens with aromas of white flowers and toasted almonds, releasing a very powerful bouquet. On the palate, it is full-bodied and generous, finely balanced by well-integrated acidity and subtle oak. An elegant and refined wine not to be missed!

About the estate:

A historic estate, first mentioned in the 18th century, now covering 24 hectares. At the helm are Roger Belland, who took over in 1981; his daughter Julie, who joined in 2003 and oversees winemaking; and their new partner, Martin Boyer. No certified organic production here, but sustainable and carefully managed viticulture (full grass cover in the vineyard, no herbicides), and wines of great consistency.
