Ratings: Gault Millau 16/20, RVF 15.5/20
“This Pommard showcases the Pinot Noir’s expression of blueberry, black plum, and spices. The mouthfeel is powerful without being excessive, with the finesse of Pinot Noir coming through on the finish. ” (The Guide to the Best Wines of France 2012 – Gault Millau)

About the estate:
An old estate, first mentioned in the 18th century, now covering 24 hectares. At the helm are Roger Belland, who took over in 1981; his daughter Julie, who joined in 2003 and is in charge of winemaking; and their new colleague, Martin Boyer. While the estate is not certified organic, it practices sustainable and carefully managed viticulture (full grass cover in the vineyard, no herbicides) and produces wines of great consistency.
