Jean-Luc Colombo is a demanding, energetic, and creative winemaker, a key figure in the Rhône Valley. In 1984, Jean-Luc Colombo set up a consulting firm specializing in viticulture and oenology, and in 1986, he and his wife Anne acquired their first plots of land in Cornas. The estate then covered 1.5 hectares in the Cornas appellation. Today , it covers 6 hectares, planted with Syrah on decomposed granite, on terraces and steep slopes, sometimes with gradients of more than 35%!

Jean-Luc Colombo practices cultivation that respects the cycles of nature, prohibiting the use of chemicals. The old vines have very low yields (less than 20 hl/ha), with strict controls for the younger vines, from pruning to green harvesting. The success of their first vintage in 1987 led the Colombo couple to set up the company "Vins Jean-Luc Colombo" in 1994. The estate's finest wines are now served at the tables of the greatest chefs, from Alain Ducasse to Paul Bocuse and Georges Blanc. This success is well deserved given the high quality of its wines.
