The highly passionate and perfectionist Michel Chapoutier runs the estate with rigor and high standards. The cultivation of the vines and his single-vineyard selections is carried out using strictly biodynamic methods, with soil management adapted to the terroir and the complete exclusion of any non-natural inputs. Harvesting at Chapoutier is done exclusively by hand, at optimal ripeness. Traditional winemaking focuses on allowing the musts to be naturally inoculated with indigenous yeasts to enhance the expression of each terroir’s unique character and thus produce great Rhône wines!
