"Discover the red wines of the Côtes du Roussillon"

The Initium vintage is a "wine for aging with a beautiful deep color, opening with fresh aromas of eucalyptus and morello cherry. This freshness also comes through on the palate, which is firm and solid, structured by tannins that are still quite severe. Keep in the cellar." (Le Guide Hachette 2024)

About wine:

A wine for aging with a beautiful deep color, opening with fresh aromas of eucalyptus and morello cherry. This freshness also comes through on the palate, which is firm and solid, structured by tannins that are still quite severe. Keep in the cellar.

About the estate:

The origins of the estate, which has been passed down through six generations, date back to 1864. The property boasts a 25-hectare vineyard planted on a variety of terroirs. At the helm since 1989, Pierre and Marie-Claude Fontaneil have been producing wines with strong personalities for nearly 30 years, including both dry wines and naturally sweet wines. In 2017, they sold the estate to a young couple of winemakers, Élodie and Matthieu Collet.
