"Introduce yourself to the reds of Côtes du Roussillon

Cuvée Initium is "a wine for laying down, with a beautiful depth of color and fresh aromas of eucalyptus and morello cherry. This freshness is also evident on the firm, solid palate, structured by tannins that are still quite severe. Best cellared". (Le Guide Hachette 2024)

About the wine:

A wine for laying down, with a beautiful depth of color and fresh aromas of eucalyptus and morello cherry. This freshness is also present on the firm, solid palate, structured by tannins that are still quite severe. For cellaring.

About the domain :

The origins of the estate, where 6 generations have succeeded one another, date back to 1864. The estate boasts a 25-hectare vineyard planted on a variety of terroirs. Pierre and Marie-Claude Fontaneil have been at the helm of the estate since 1989, and for almost 30 years they have been producing wines with strong personalities, both dry and vins doux naturels. In 2017, they sold the estate to a young winemaking couple, Élodie and Matthieu Collet.
