About the wine:
With a brilliant golden-yellow hue, the aromas are intense and fresh, with notes of exotic fruits (pineapple) and almond blossom. On the palate, the attack is rich, followed by a perfect balance between freshness and smoothness.
About the estate:
The estate’s origins, spanning six generations, date back to 1864. The property boasts a 25-hectare vineyard spread across diverse terroirs. At the helm since 1989, Pierre and Marie-Claude Fontaneil have been producing wines with strong character—both dry and naturally sweet—for nearly 30 years. In 2017, they sold the estate to a young couple of winemakers, Élodie and Matthieu Collet.

Review by Mr. GILLES D. Published on March 8, 2022
Aromas of flowers, exotic fruits, and citrus, accompanied by notes of dried fruit, pour forth abundantly from this 100% Petit Grain. They give this Muscat a rich, full-bodied character and a smooth, velvety mouthfeel, all against a backdrop that has managed to retain a certain freshness. Served at 8°, it’s perfect for sweet desserts, such as a tarte Tatin, a lemon tart, or—to stay true to the southern region—a frescati from Sète or a crème catalane. Average RQ/P. Rating = 3.6. For more finesse and lightness, try the “Grain de vigne” cuvée from Domaine Lafage.
