About wine:

About the estate:
The origins of the estate, which has been passed down through six generations, date back to 1864. The property boasts a 25-hectare vineyard planted on a variety of terroirs. At the helm since 1989, Pierre and Marie-Claude Fontaneil have been producing wines with strong personalities for nearly 30 years, including both dry wines and naturally sweet wines. In 2017, they sold the estate to a young couple of winemakers, Élodie and Matthieu Collet.

Note and opinion by Mr. GILLES D. Published on 03/08/2022
Aromas of flowers, exotic fruits, and citrus accompanied by notes of dried fruit pour forth abundantly from this 100% small-grain wine. They give this Muscat a rich, smooth mouthfeel, with a background that has retained a certain freshness. At 8%, it is ideal for sweet desserts such as tarte tatin, lemon tart, or, to stay in the southern region, a frescati de Sète or crème catalane. Average RQ/P. Score = 3.6. For more finesse and lightness, try the "Grain de vigne" cuvée from Domaine Lafage.
