"New vintage"

"Righteousness sets the tone for this red wine dominated by Grenache with its liberated fruit. Still in its sappy tannic shell, it draws its tension from a mentholated freshness on the finish. This more agile finish lifts the whole wine." (La Revue du Vin de France - June 2020) Late-harvested grapes bring fruitiness and concentration.

Rated estate (2023 guide) Award-winning wines (This producer's wines are regularly recognized by the guide)

About the estate:

The origins of the estate, which has been passed down through six generations, date back to 1864. The property boasts a 25-hectare vineyard planted on a variety of terroirs. At the helm since 1989, Pierre and Marie-Claude Fontaneil have been producing wines with strong personalities for nearly 30 years, including both dry wines and naturally sweet wines. In 2017, they sold the estate to a young couple of winemakers, Élodie and Matthieu Collet.

Round and velvety. However, the Grenache-Carignan blend is more typical of this terroir (and I prefer it). 15/20
