Alheit Vineyards
After practicing in California, Australia, France, and Germany, Suzaan and Chris Alheit founded their winery from scratch in 2010 in Hemelrand, in the Walker Bay region of South Africa.

From the very beginning, the Alheit are convinced that Cape Town’s greatest potential in winemaking lies in its white wines. As a result, the Alheit estate focuses on producing white wines, primarily from old Chenin Blanc vines. The production methods are very natural: Suzaan and Chris Alheit use only indigenous yeasts to make their wines and intervene very little during the winemaking process.

The Alheits grow grapes in various areas of the Coastal Region: Paardeberg, Stellenbosch (Radio Lazarus), Franschhoek (La Colline), False Bay...

The Alheit wine portfolio consists of five wines: two made from 100% old-vine Chenin Blanc (single-vineyard selections), one single-vineyard selection made from 100% Sémillon, and two blended wines.
