Rated estate (2023 guide): 4* Stars (Producers of the very highest quality, the pride of French viticulture)
About the estate:
From Cazetiers to Bouzeron, this major Beaune wine merchant founded in 1731 owns more than 142 plots across 130 hectares of vineyards, including 73 hectares of Premier Cru and Grand Cru vineyards. This first-rate wine-growing heritage allows Frédéric Weber, a talented winemaker previously in charge of Château de Poncié, to produce approximately 600,000 bottles out of the total three million units produced here each year, with the majority of production coming from purchased grapes for the reds and carefully selected musts for the whites other than those from the estate. Impressive success with both whites and reds in recent vintages.

Wine rated (2010 guide) 91/100 (Excellent wine)
Rated estate (2022 guide) Recommended (Wine producer recommended by Robert Parker – The Wine Advocate)
About the wine:
The 2007 Beaune Grèves L'Enfant Jésus offers aromas of tobacco, beef broth, smoky black tea, and ripe red berries. As it opens up, notes of herbs and game emerge, with a polished texture and a rich, concentrated flavor on the palate. It displays intensity and tremendous length, and should be cellared for at least a decade.
