"A new vintage of this charming Pinot Noir Premier Cru de Beaune, each year is a delight!"
"The 2022 Beaune du Château de Bouchard has a deep color and aromas of ripe blackberry and plum, with earthy, smoky and spicy notes. The great purity of the fruity aromas is combined with a seductive sweetness on the palate, which gives way to a firm tannic structure and a persistent finish. [...] - an utterly delicious whole. 2027-2055" (Decanter 2023)

Domaine rated (guide 2023) 4*Stars (Top-quality producers, the glories of French winegrowing)
About the domain :
From Les Cazetiers to Bouzeron, this major Beaune trading house, founded in 1731, owns over 142 parcels in 130 hectares of vineyards, including 73 hectares of Premier and Grand Cru. This first-rate winegrowing heritage enables Fréderic Weber, a talented winemaker who was previously in charge of Château de Poncié, to produce around 600,000 bottles out of the total three million produced here each year, with most of the production coming from purchased grapes for the great reds, and carefully selected musts for the non-domain whites. Impressive success in both white and red wines in recent vintages.

About the wine:
The 2022 Beaune du Château de Bouchard has a deep color and aromas of ripe blackberry and plum, with earthy, smoky and spicy notes. The great purity of the fruity aromas is combined with a seductive sweetness on the palate, which gives way to a firm tannic structure and a persistent finish. The grapes come from a blend of 17 different Premier Cru climats in Beaune; around a third are fermented in whole bunches, and the wine is currently aging in barrels (a third of which are new) - an utterly delicious whole. 2027-2055

Domaine noté (guide 2022) Recommended (Wine producer recommended by Robert Parker - The Wine Advocate)
About the wine:
Some of Beaune's finest terroirs are blended to produce Beaune 1er Cru du Château 2022, a medium to full-bodied, supple and pure wine evocative of peonies, sweet spices and red fruits. This smooth, harmonious cuvée has a saline finish.

Rated domain (guide 2022) Recommended
About the wine:
Light to medium red color. Bright, lively red fruit, acidic but not sweet. As with Savigny Les Lavières, tannins dominate the fruit on the palate, but are supple and compact, without being aggressive. Tasty and peppery on the palate, not yet charming. Promising for the medium term. 2027-2034

About the wine:
Young, seductive nose of red fruit with delicate earthy notes. This is followed by a generous, medium- to full-bodied palate, where ample, healthy tannins and restrained richness harmonize beautifully, with cherry pit and licorice aromas enveloping a solid core on the finish. A cuvée from most of the estate's vineyards in 17 Beaune 1er Cru sites, created in 1907. Made from organically grown grapes. For drinking or cellaring.
