"A delicious 1er Cru, supple and harmonious".
"The Nuits Saint-Georges Les Cailles 1er Cru 2021 has a succinct nose, the 50% whole clusters cleanly integrated into red fruits, with hints of iodine developing over time. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins, very harmonious, velvety with skilfully integrated oak towards the surprisingly concentrated, blueberry-tinged finish. One of Bouchard Père's pleasant surprises in this vintage". (Vinous 2023)

Bettane & Desseauve
Domaine rated (guide 2023) 4*Stars (Top-quality producers, the glories of French winegrowing)
About the domain :
From Les Cazetiers to Bouzeron, this major Beaune trading house, founded in 1731, owns over 142 parcels in 130 hectares of vineyards, including 73 hectares of Premier and Grand Cru. This first-rate winegrowing heritage enables Fréderic Weber, a talented winemaker who was previously in charge of Château de Poncié, to produce around 600,000 bottles out of the total three million produced here each year, with most of the production coming from purchased grapes for the great reds, and carefully selected musts for the non-domain whites. Impressive success in both white and red wines in recent vintages.

About the wine:
Aromas of red berries, rose petals, orange peel and cinnamon introduce Nuits-Saint-Georges 1er Cru Les Cailles 2021, a medium to full-bodied, ample and fleshy wine, fluid and sensual, supported by lively acidity and finishing with a saline touch.
