Roger Belland - Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru Morgeot Clos Pitois 2009

Notes: RVF 15/20
“The Chassagne Clos Pitois is full-bodied, with a certain warmth on the mid-palate.” (Le Guide des Meilleurs Vins de France 2012 - RVF). A Monopole from Domaine Roger Belland, a magnificent Premier Cru that is not to be missed!

About the estate:

An historic estate, first mentioned in the 18th century, now covering 24 hectares. At the helm are Roger Belland, who took over in 1981; his daughter Julie, who joined in 2003 and oversees winemaking; and their new partner, Martin Boyer. No certified organic production here, but sustainable and carefully managed viticulture (full grass cover in the vineyard, no herbicides), and wines of great consistency.
