“Ruby red color. The nose is both rich and spicy, with notes of black fruit combined with mocha and smoky undertones. The palate is both rich and lively, highlighting notes of morello cherry; the tannins remain refined but provide the wine with the necessary structure, giving it the rustic character typical of the appellation. ” (Estate Winemaker—Jennifer Walter 2025)

About the estate:
A historic estate, first mentioned in the 18th century, that today covers 24 hectares. At the helm are Roger Belland, who took over in 1981; his daughter Julie, who joined in 2003 and is in charge of winemaking; and their new colleague, Martin Boyer. While not certified organic, the estate practices sustainable and carefully managed viticulture (full grass cover in the vineyard, no herbicides) and produces wines of great consistency.
Burghound
Wine rated (2024 guide) 90/100 (2023 vintage)
Rated "Recommended"
About the wine:
Here, too, the expressive nose is fresh and vibrant, with pure aromas of black cherry, red currant, and violet. The medium-bodied flavors are more elegant and slightly denser, with the same alluring texture on the more mineral-driven finish, which is pleasantly crisp. This wine should also be enjoyed young or after 4 to 7 years of aging. 2028+
