Domaine François Chidaine

François Chidaine started out in 1989 in Montlouis-sur-Loire with just a few hectares of vines, leaving with passion in his soul and solid perseverance as his only luggage. His raw material: Chenin, the grape variety of the Montlouis-sur-Loire appellation. Right from the start, the richness of the appellation was not lost on him.

Aware that he has in his hands a unique natural heritage, François Chidaine specifically cultivates each parcel and produces a wide range of cuvées according to the particularities of the vines. It was with this in mind, too, that he first became interested in Organic winegrowing, and then in Biodynamics. In 1999, the entire vineyard was cultivated according to this principle.

That same year, Domaine François Chidaine expanded, and was joined by his wife Manuéla and, three years later, Nicolas Martin. In 2006, Domaine François Chidaine acquired vineyards in Vouvray, also cultivated biodynamically by this trio, who produce wines with luminous hues, appreciated for their precision and refined over time.
