François Chidaine Estate
François Chidaine started out in 1989 in Montlouis-sur-Loire with a few hectares of vines, armed only with passion and determination. His raw material was Chenin, the grape variety of the Montlouis-sur-Loire appellation. From the outset, he recognized the richness of the appellation.

Aware that he had a unique natural heritage in his hands, François Chidaine cultivated each plot specifically and multiplied the vintages according to the particularities of the vines. It was also in this spirit that he became interested in Organic viticulture from the outset, and then in biodynamics. By 1999, the entire vineyard was being cultivated according to these principles.

That same year, Domaine François Chidaine expanded and his wife Manuéla joined him, followed three years later by Nicolas Martin. In 2006, Domaine François Chidaine acquired vineyards in Vouvray, which are also cultivated biodynamically by this trio. They produce wines with a luminous color, which are appreciated for their precision and refine with age.
