“Exclusive Selection”

“In the Juliette cuvée, the wine reveals itself unreservedly with a lovely savory character: freshness comes from the Ventoux terroir, and the blend of Clairette (70%) and white Grenache (30%) enhances the wine’s mineral intensity.” (Le Guide RVF 2023) In honor of the birth of the family’s first granddaughter in two generations… A cuvée well worth a visit!

Bettane & Desseauve

Rated estate (2022 guide) 2*Stars (A solid, recommendable vintage, though slightly more consistent and uniform than the previous one)

About the estate:

This family-run estate, now in its third generation, produces a wide range of full-bodied wines across some 70 hectares, in a modern and ambitious style that ranks them among the must-try wines of the Ventoux region. Now managed by Frédéric and Alexandre Chaudière, the vineyard features nine grape varieties grown on clay-limestone gravel slopes at an altitude of 300 meters. The wines are vinified with care.

Rated Estate (2023 Guide) Selected (Please note that this guide is a ranking, and as such, all the estates listed here—even those without a star—represent, in our view, the pinnacle of French winemaking.)

About the estate:

The history of this estate began in the 1970s, when the Chaudière grandparents restored the château and part of the vineyard. Paul and Edith then set the course by leaving the cooperative and focusing on terroir selection. Since 2000, their sons, Frédéric and Alexandre, have been overseeing the future of this vast vineyard. We are captivated by the stylistic shift in the wines: they have truly gained in finesse and flavor, and beautifully reflect the freshness of the terroir.
