About the estate:

This family-run estate, now in its third generation, produces a wide range of full-bodied wines on some 70 hectares, in a modern and ambitious style that ranks them among the must-try wines of the Ventoux region. Now managed by Frédéric and Alexandre Chaudière, the vineyard features nine grape varieties grown on clay-limestone gravel slopes at an elevation of 300 meters. The wines are crafted with care.

The 2023 Ventoux Terrasses opens with notes of wild cherry, red plum, garrigue, crushed stone, and a hint of black pepper. Medium-bodied and well-balanced, it offers a core of red fruit that is precise rather than opulent, framed by fine, chalky tannins and vibrant acidity. This is a balanced and elegant southern Rhône red, focused less on muscular power than on tension and freshness, which should be enjoyable to drink over the next 5 to 8 years.

About the estate:

The history of this estate began in the 1970s, when the Chaudière grandparents restored the château and part of the vineyard. A full-bodied wine with flavors of ripe fruit and spices glides across the palate with a most pleasant smoothness and a vibrant acidity that temper the warmth of the vintage. The velvety texture of the dominant Grenache beautifully complements the aromas of a lamb moussaka.
