"A great bottle to serve at the table!"

"The Ventoux Quintessence Blanc 2023 is a blend of 80% Roussanne and 20% Clairette, grown on limestone-rich soils at an altitude of 300 meters and aged in a combination of 600-liter barrels and concrete eggs, without malolactic fermentation. Aromas of ripe pear, lemon, white flowers, and subtle exotic spices lead to a medium-bodied, complex palate with a dense yet taut texture, featuring a core of stone fruit and citrus supported by lively acidity and a subtly saline finish. This is a finely balanced Rhône white wine that combines generosity and tension, and should age gracefully over the next 5 to 7 years.” (Wine Advocate 2025)

Rated Estate (2023 Guide) Selected (Please note that this guide is a ranking, and as such, all the estates listed here—even those without a star—represent, in our view, the pinnacle of French winemaking.)

About the estate:

The history of this estate began in the 1970s, when the Chaudière grandparents restored the château and part of the vineyard. Paul and Edith then set the course by leaving the cooperative and focusing on terroir selection. Since 2000, their sons, Frédéric and Alexandre, have been overseeing the future of this vast vineyard. We are captivated by the stylistic shift in the wines: they have truly gained in finesse and flavor, and beautifully reflect the freshness of the terroir.
