Made from a selection of old vines over 60 years old, the 2014 Santenay Vieilles Vignes has a generous nose of red fruit and morello cherry notes, nuanced by a hint of minerality. Silky on the palate, it has a delicate texture and supple, elegant tannins. Immediate pleasure!

About the estate:
An old estate, with records dating back to the 18th century, now covering 24 hectares. At its helm are Roger Belland, who took over in 1981, his daughter Julie, who joined in 2003 and is in charge of winemaking, and their new colleague Martin Boyer. No certified organic status here, but sustainable and controlled viticulture (total grass cover in the vineyard, no weedkillers), and wines of great consistency.
