“We were won over by the Caillerets; it’s a lovely wine that offers concentrated flavor with great finesse. In addition to its sparkling fruitiness, the wine is velvety smooth.” (The Guide to the Best Wines of France 2015 - RVF)

Rated estate (2023 guide) 4*Stars (Producers of the very highest quality, the pride of French viticulture)

About the estate:

From Cazetiers to Bouzeron, this major Beaune-based wine merchant, founded in 1731, owns more than 142 plots spanning 130 hectares of vineyards, including 73 hectares of Premier Cru and Grand Cru vineyards. This first-rate wine-growing heritage allows Frédéric Weber, a talented winemaker previously in charge of Château de Poncié, to produce approximately 600,000 bottles out of the total three million units produced here each year, with the majority of production coming from purchased grapes for the grand reds and from carefully selected musts for the whites other than those from the estate. Impressive success with both whites and reds in recent vintages.

Gault & Millau Wine Guide

Guide des Vins Gault & Millau

Wine rated (2015 guide) 16,5/20 (Very good)

About the wine:

The first thing that stands out about this young vintage is its suppleness. It has a warm, rounded profile and a generous, full-bodied texture; with floral and fruity notes and a hint of pepper, it’s a winner—in every way.
