Pierre Tailleur de Vins
A native of Carcassonne, Pierre Caizergues, a wine enthusiast, launched his artisanal wine-making venture in September 2015. His vision: to craft wines inspired by his encounters and Favorites. Through conversations with winemaker friends, he selects vineyards, blends, and ages his own vintages to highlight the terroirs of the South of France and create bespoke wines. Pierre, the Wine Selector, seeks simplicity and authenticity through a range of surprising and original wines.
Together with his winemaker friend Julien Gil (Plô Roucarels), he created the Plô Grand Bâtard and Petit Bâtard range, a project that allows them to experiment with grape varieties never before blended together. Always on the lookout for new experiences, Pierre Caizergues has released a new 100% Chenin cuvée under the IGP Haute Vallée de l'Aude appellation as part of the Les Affranchis range: “Grape varieties too often blended—here they are, set free!
