Sérol Estate
The Sérol estate is a family business, passed down from father to son for five generations. Today, the Sérol estate comprises 32 hectares of vineyards that have been fully converted to organic farming (AB) and biodynamic farming (Biodyvin).
Cultivated biodynamically in the eastern foothills of the Massif Central, near the Loire Gorges, Stéphane Sérol took over the estate in 1996. Together with his wife Carine, they cleared and replanted the most beautiful slopes on these high-altitude granite terroirs, located between 400 and 500 meters above sea level. They naturally chose to plant the historic grape variety: Gamay Saint Romain. The 32 hectares of Gamay and 2 hectares of Viognier are planted at high density and harvested by hand. In the cellar, extreme rigor allows for the most natural vinification possible. The emphasis is on the range of reds that reveal the different personalities of Gamay.

The Sérol estate is now one of the iconic figures of the Côte Roannaise and defends the cause of these winegrowers within the Loire Volcanique association (which brings together the wine-growing areas of the Côte Roannaise, Côtes du Forez, St Pourçain and Côtes d'Auvergne). Discover a beautiful range of delicious, fresh wines as well as single-vineyard wines that are more suited to the table. A beautiful address that is not to be missed!
