Domaine Sérol
Biodynamically cultivated in the eastern foothills of the Massif Central, near the Loire gorges, Stéphane Sérol took over the estate in 1996. Together with his wife Carine, they cleared and replanted the best slopes on these high-altitude granitic terroirs, situated between 400 and 500 m above sea level. Naturally, they chose to plant the historic Gamay Saint Romain grape variety. The 32 ha of Gamay and the 2 ha of Viognier are planted at high density and harvested by hand. In the winery, extreme rigor ensures that vinification is as natural as possible. The emphasis is on the red range, which reveals the different personalities of the Gamay grape.
