Domaine Couly-Dutheil

TheCouly-Dutheil estate was founded in 1921 by Baptiste Dutheil and later developed by René Couly. Thanks to the quality of its terroirs, this family-owned estate, now in its fourth generation, enjoys an unrivalled reputation in the Chinonais vineyards, producing high-quality AOC Chinon wines.

Of the 2,000 hectares of vineyards in the Chinonais region, Domaine Couly-Dutheil alone vinifies nearly 120 hectares, 90 of which are directly farmed. The vineyard is spread over three production terroirs: the gravelly plains mixed with sand on the edge of Vienne, which produce light and fruity wines; the clay-siliceous slopes and plateaus, which produce fine and subtle wines; and the clay-limestone hillsides, where sumptuous AOC Chinon wines for aging are born.

Domaine Couly-Dutheil also produces two benchmark wines from the Chinon vineyard: Clos de l'Olive and Clos de l'Echo, which are a delight for lovers of characterful AOC Chinon wines.
