Château de Meursault
The history of Château de Meursault dates back to the 11th century. At the beginning of the 19th century, the property was extended, largely under the impetus of the Serre family, who made major architectural changes and considerably developed the wine estate. Since 2012, Château de Meursault has belonged to the Halley family, who wish to continue and develop the château's reputation in France and internationally.

Château de Meursault owns 60 hectares of vines, all located in the Côte de Beaune, in the communes of Aloxe-Corton, Savigny-lès-Beaune, Beaune, Pommard, Volnay, Meursault and Puligny-Montrachet. The vines, which are cultivated using organic methods, are ideally located and sheltered from the wind by the mountains to the west. The soils are rich in limestone on well-drained subsoils, giving the terroir all its richness. Thanks to a very special structure (vines in patches), the estate's 18 winemakers work the same plots throughout the year, right up to the harvest, which is carried out exclusively by hand.

Built in 1980, the current winery boasts state-of-the-art equipment, based on a gravity-fed system that avoids unnecessary and damaging pumping.

Today, Château de Meursault is considered one of the finest wine estates in Burgundy.
