Meursault Castle
Château de Meursault began its history in the 11th century. At the beginning of the 19th century, the property was enlarged, largely under the impetus of the Serre family, who made significant architectural changes and considerably developed the wine estate. Since 2012, Château de Meursault has been owned by the Halley family, who wish to continue and develop the château's reputation in France and internationally.

Château de Meursault owns 60 hectares of vineyards, all located in the Côte de Beaune, in the communes of Aloxe-Corton, Savigny-lès-Beaune, Beaune, Pommard, Volnay, Meursault, and Puligny-Montrachet. The vines, cultivated using sustainable methods and organic pest control, are ideally located and sheltered from the wind by the mountains to the west. The soils are rich in limestone on well-drained subsoils, which gives the terroir all its richness. Thanks to a very particular structure (vineyards in patches), the 18 winegrowers of the estate work the same plots throughout the year, until the harvest, which is carried out exclusively by hand.

Built in 1980, the current winery has very modern equipment, based on a system that uses gravity and avoids unnecessary and damaging pumping.

Château de Meursault is now considered one of the most beautiful wine estates in Burgundy.
