Coteaux de l'Ardèche

Stemming from the colorful geology of the Ardèche, the Coteaux de l’Ardèche PGI offers connoisseurs a wide range of elegant and authentic wines that proudly reflect their terroir. The Coteaux de l’Ardèche protected geographical indication covers the southern half of the department. The specific characteristics of each terroir and the variety of grape varieties contribute to unique varietal and blended wines. Maison M. Chapoutier also shines in this appellation.
 
Coteaux de l'Ardèche red wines are produced using grape varieties such as Syrah, Grenache, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Gamay, Pinot, and Chatus, an ancestral grape variety typical of the Ardèche that produces a very original and very tannic wine. Rosé wines use Syrah, Grenache, and Cabernet Sauvignon. Finally, the white Coteaux de l'Ardèche wines are made from Chardonnay, Viognier, Sauvignon Blanc, Grenache Blanc, and Marsanne.
