Jonc-Blanc

Jonc-Blanc is an estate run by Isabelle Carles and Franck Pascal, who describe themselves as “farmer-winemakers.” This exemplary winemaking couple possesses a solid technical background and a spirit that embodies the best of the philosophy behind appellations of origin, producing meticulous, authentic, and unpretentious Bergerac wines. Very early on, they committed to clean farming practices. The vineyard, located in Vélines, spans 16.5 hectares of vines cultivated using organic and Demeter-certified biodynamic methods since 2008, the year of conversion.

AllJonc-Blanc wines are considered “natural”; no freeze-dried yeast is used in fermentation. Bottling takes place after a long aging period, with no added sulfur, on the lees, and without disruptive physical processes such as fining or filtration. Jonc-Blanc has established itself as one of the best estates in the Bergerac region, embodying its revival.
