Jonc-Blanc

Jonc-Blanc is an estate run by Isabelle Carles and Franck Pascal, who describe themselves as “farmer-winemakers.” This exemplary winemaking couple possesses a solid technical background and a spirit that embodies the best of the appellation d’origine philosophy, producing meticulous, honest, and unpretentious Bergerac wines. Very early on, they made the choice to adopt clean farming practices. The vineyard, located in Vélines, comprises 16.5 hectares of vines cultivated using organic and Demeter-certified biodynamic methods since 2008, the year of conversion.

AllJonc-Blanc wines are considered “natural”; no freeze-dried yeast is used in fermentation. Bottling takes place after long aging periods, with no added sulfur, on the lees, and without disruptive physical processes such as fining or filtration. Jonc-Blanc has established itself as one of the finest estates in the Bergerac region, embodying its renaissance.
