Jonc-Blanc
Jonc-Blanc is a winery run by Isabelle Carles and Franck Pascal, who describe themselves as “farmer-winemakers.” This exemplary winemaking couple possesses a solid technical background and a spirit that embodies the best of the philosophy behind appellations of origin, producing refined, honest, and unpretentious Bergerac wines. Very early on, they chose to practice clean agriculture. The vineyard, located in Vélines, comprises 16.5 hectares of vines cultivated using organic and Demeter-certified biodynamic methods since 2008, the year of conversion.
AllJonc-Blanc wines are considered “natural”; no freeze-dried yeast is used for fermentation. Bottling takes place after a long aging period, with no added sulfur, on the lees, and without disruptive physical processes such as fining or filtration. Jonc-Blanc has established itself today as one of the best estates in the Bergerac region, embodying its renaissance.
