Jonc-Blanc

Jonc-Blanc is an estate run by Isabelle Carles and Franck Pascal, who describe themselves as "farmer-winemakers." This exemplary winemaking couple has solid technical expertise and a mindset that aligns with the best of the appellation d'origine philosophy, producing refined, honest Bergerac wines that are unadorned. They made the choice to adopt clean farming practices very early on. The vineyard, located in Vélines, covers 16.5 hectares of vines cultivated organically and biodynamically, certified by Demeter since 2008, the year of conversion.

AllJonc-Blanc wines are described as "natural," with no freeze-dried yeast used for fermentation. Bottling takes place after long aging, without added sulfur, on lees, and without disruptive physical processes such as fining or filtration. Jonc-Blanc is now established as one of the best estates in the Bergerac region, embodying its revival.
